For any grower, life would surely be a dream if they could grow their Cannabis with water alone. Not only are we saying that IT’S POSSIBLE, we’re going to share how. First, let’s look at Cannabis. Apart from good genetics, Cannabis is comparable to most plants in the way that it grows, and the things that it needs.
The most common reasons that plants might slow or stop growing exactly reflect the issues a Marijuana plant faces as well. These include lack of nutrients and predators. So let’s take a look at some of these problems a bit closer.
Lack of nutrients can mostly be due to the quality of soil that your plant is in. Other external factors like humidity and alkalinity of the plants environment can also effect the growth of your plant. You can tell that your plant isn’t taking up much nutrients from the soil if it starts to turn a redish-purplish color and has stopped growing all together.
Dehydration, much like lack of nutrients, is key to stunting or stopping a plants growth. It has been made known that all life on Earth is supported and maintained by water. So if you aren’t watering your plants enough, or the heat is drying up your soil and plant too fast, you can most likely expect your plant to be thirsty at the very least!
Infection and pests are probably the two most common barriers that growers face. Solutions to these problems include a very long and harmful list of chemicals. Pesticides and fertilizers contain highly toxic substances that are carcinogenic and have been linked to numerous diseases. While using pesticides and fertilizers doesn’t halt or hinder your growth process, it is extremely harmful for the health of humans, animals and the environment.
Fortunately, there is a one-stop-shop solution for all of these barriers. Yep… now let’s talk about water. The most important water statement that The Shed has heard, is that not all water is created equal. That perspective has led to new opportunities for health and sustainability. And we’re only continuing to learn the other areas of life and business we can use this water.
Just to be clear, we’re not talking about any regular tap or spring water. If this product is better than any pesticide or growth enhancer, it can’t be basic. The one-stop-shop solution is Kangen Water. Let’s get straight into the facts.
A typical Kangen Water machine (for personal use) can produce 7 different types of pH waters. The water is filtered and passed through electrolysis, which is how it achieves it’s pH naturally. Electrolysis is the electrocution of water, passing it over several magnetic plates. This gives the water an electric charge, splitting the water molecules. This is the only way to achieve a natural pH with no added chemicals or vitamins.
pH stands for potential Hydrogen in the water. There is a scale of acidic (low pH) to alkaline (high pH). Alkalinity is important for life because it has the ability to stabilize an acidic or balanced environment which means that growth and hydration are effortless. For humans, it can ensure that the chemicals in our bodies are balanced creating an optimal habitat for us to thrive. Another contributor to these benefits is the splitting of water molecules. This makes the water easier to absorb through a living organism’s cells. So life is hydrated at high speed and maintained by an alkaline environment. For plants, it means that they absorb more nutrients at a faster pace… but there’s more!
So let’s get into 2 of the 7 different types of waters that the Kangen Water machine can produce. Both of these waters are not recommended for drinking, but can be used for something else. Cleaning!
The lowest (2.5pH) can be used as a natural disinfectant. Applied in domestic and commercial cleaning, in particular removing grease and build up from any surface. In a farmer’s case, this type of water known as Hypochlorous Acid water or Strong Acidic water, can be used to sterilize your plants. Because it has such a powerful acidic environment, this water has the ability to kill pests and mold, and not harm the plant or the environment.
The same could be said for Hypochlorous Acid’s counterpart – Strong Alkaline water. At 11.5pH, this water is widely used for soaking or washing food. Using Strong Alkaline water before cooking will rid your fruit, vegetables or meat of any extra dirt and harmful chemical residue. Same goes for your dirty domestic and commercial surfaces. For Cannabis plants, the alkaline environment that this water has can emulsify oils and also kill any fungi that your plant might attract.
